On this project, my on-site research revealed the obvious but overlooked fact that many staff had large, calloused hands, making standard mobile interfaces difficult to use. During my time out in the field (besides having photos taken of me with a hard-hat) we also determined that sun glare further complicated usability, highlighting the need for tailored designs.
This product is a mobile-first application meticulously developed for heavy equipment operators and logistics personnel who operate on-site. This innovative solution facilitates the management and coordination of leasing and storage for some of the largest construction and maintenance equipment globally. By streamlining communication and enhancing operational efficiency, the application effectively minimizes costly miscommunication and technical failures, thereby optimizing the overall workflow within the industry.
